New school year, new Campaign for Literacy

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Kansas Reading Association.  Our theme for the 2016-17 school year is CAMPAIGN FOR LITERACY.  After all, don’t we want to be the greatest advocates for the development of literacy skills?  This goal, of course, may be achieved in a variety of ways.  This is where the Kansas Reading Association can step in and help.

As a member of KRA, you have the opportunity to have a voice at your local level and also on the State level.  We welcome your participation!  We are growing with membership options of not only the regular membership, but also mentor and retired memberships.  And also recently, we have added institutional memberships available through our universities.  We love getting pre-service teachers involved with their fresh ideas!

Our Kansas Reading Association is looking forward to an exciting year of literacy opportunities.  Come join our campaign!

Yours in literacy,
Deanna Burton
KRA President, 2016-2017
